Mental Health Awareness Week!

Mental Health Awareness Week! Over the past weeks leading up to Mental Health Awareness Week, CEB has been sharing vital mental health statistics. Now, as we dive into Mental Health Awareness Week, it’s time to shine a light on how businesses and employers can prioritise the well-being of their employees.

Did you know that there are numerous ways to enrich your benefits package by providing access to mental health resources? Organisations like the Samaritans or Mind offer invaluable free mental health support services:

In addition, companies often offer products such as Employee Assistance Programmes, which can aid team members. Sometimes, these may be included for free as part of other benefits you already offer, for instance, as a supportive service through your Group Life Assurance!

Have you heard of the Pomodoro technique? It’s a fantastic way to encourage employees to take breaks and manage their workload, helping them avoid burnout and maintain a healthy work-life balance. Here’s how the Pomodoro technique works step by step:

  1. Choose your task
  2. Set the timer for 25 minutes (you can find a timer here
  3. Work until the timer rings
  4. Take a five-minute break, move around, or take a short walk, even if it’s just around the office!
  5. Take longer breaks (15 to 30 minutes) after every four Pomodoro intervals.

There are numerous ways to advocate for mental health in the workplace through your employee benefits package. If you’re keen to learn more, reach out to the CEB team today! Together, let’s make a positive difference.
