Men’s Health Week!

Men’s Health Week! Mark your calendars for Men’s Health Week, taking place from 10th June to 16th June 2024. This year, the Men’s Health Forum is urging men to share their stories, as we focus on the importance of men’s physical and mental well-being.

During Men’s Health Week, it’s time for men everywhere to prioritise their health by giving themselves an MOT. This week serves as a crucial opportunity to raise awareness and highlight the significance of men’s physical and mental health.

Let’s take a look at some eye-opening statistics concerning men’s mental health:

  • A staggering 2 in 5 men admit to regularly experiencing feelings of low mood.
  • 40% of men are hesitant to discuss their mental health openly.

In terms of men’s physical health, consider these statistics:

  • Among those working full-time, only 37% of men have recently visited their GP in the past 3 months, compared to 53% of women.
  • Shockingly, men are 67% more likely to succumb to common cancers that affect both genders.

With Men’s Health Week approaching next week, stay tuned for updates on how you can contribute to supporting men’s health in your workplace and beyond. Let’s work together to prioritise the well-being of men everywhere!
